It's kind of funny...looking at the wintry forest in the back of our house, it's hard to believe that I-83 and all of it's fast-paced city feel is outside our front door!

26/365 Wipers
The pre-snow wiper lifting seems to be a Maryland phenomenon. I never saw it in SC..and some of my friends from farther North seem to be baffled as well.

48/365 Maybe May?
This is one of the giant, dirty snowpiles in the parking lot near my office. This is a common sight in Maryland these days. We've been taking bets on when these monstrosities will melt! My guess is May.

44/365 Melting
The snow is finally melting! So sorry that this photo is not rotated...no matter what I do I can't get it rotated here! It is rotated in my iPhoto...whatever.

42/365 PUSH!
I have learned another valuable lesson from my time here in Maryland. How to get a car out of a snowbank. This was not my car...but now I know what to do in case it ever is!

41/365 Frosted Window Panes
...candles glowing inside, painted candy canes...on the tree. Santa's come and gone, we're left with lots of snoooooow! Snow for you and for me...
40/365 How in the world...
...do you make it through 3-4 feet of snow in 5 days? See above. French wine, it helps pass the time. :)

37/365 Norwegian Forest Cats, Perhaps?
My bedroom window is clearly the best vantage point for watching the snow. Marcello ran out the front door in the snow earlier. Thankfully I grabbed him before he got too far out (in my bare feet!) It didn't phase him. I think he definitely has some Norwegian Forest Cat in him...

33/365 My Church in the Snow
St. Anne's in the snow. Today's good news? This is officially where I will be getting married! Woohoo!

Blizzard '09
Well, the snow we thought was coming did arrive, and dumped 20+ inches of snow on good 'ole Annapolis! No Saturday/Sunday Messiah performances...no 22 mile run...it was actually nice to have 2 days where I had to pretty much stay in the house!
Looking out my second story window in a slow part of the blizzard
By Sunday, both my roommate and I were dealing with cabin fever, so we ventured the few miles on icy/snowy roads to downtown Annapolis. We started out at the Rams Head, and then moved over to Galway Bay. On the walk over, I grabbed a few photos of downtown in the snow.

As lovely as it was, I hope we don't have anymore storms like this anytime soon!
